Sometimes, I like to be the only car on the road.
– Me.
To be filed under One Of My Many Life Philosophies. There are more. You’ll see.
Guess where I’m going? Yep. Aaah. Home. Will you take me as I am? x LV
TUNING THE SYSTEM IN … So I’ve been having lots of dreams now that I am back here at the garage, tuning the system in. When I haven’t been with N. in a little while the dreams start to come. Last night my dream was similar to the dream I had a few weeks ago, about driving on the beach, but this time, much much longer. And remember, I can record my dreams on my onboard computer....
Click Once If You Love Me →
Well gosh. There is now an “I Love LincVolt” group on FaceBook. It’s not quite the FaceBook fan worship that N. gets, I see that there is a Facebook Fan Group called “Neil Young is Better Than Sex With Jesus,” (what?), but whatevz, I’ll take it, this is lovely. And thanks, friends. I love you too. x LV
I Need A Drink (Part Two)
So here I am. Back home. Sorta. Back in The Garage in Wichita. Feeling kind of … Well, I’m reeling. Just reeling. I mean, there I was, out there in the world. For realz. Running on the proud highway. Neil at the wheel. Free. Feeling it. Doing it. Living the dream. And now … Sigh. Back in the barn, blogging away. And N.’s not even here. I feel like I’ve lost...
I Need A Drink (Part One)
Me: I need a drink.
Team: We need to find the most efficient fuel for you, LincVolt.
Me: Please. Guys. I keep telling you. Call me LV! We're practically family.
Team: We must experiment with fuel blends to run your generator system more efficiently.
Me: I just want a drink.
Team: We have tried CNG, ethanol, bio diesel and gasoline.
Me: Yes. I know. I liked the CNG the best.
Team: We must experiment with ethanol again. We are researching various blends for experimentation.
Me: How about tequila?
Team: What?
Me: It fueled a great tour.
Team: (Rolling eyes at each other.)
Me: I'm just saying. Maybe a hamburger, some tequila, and I'm good to go.
Team: No.
Me: Diet Coke?
Team: No.
Me: Caffeine Free Diet Coke?
Team: (Briefly hesitates ... briefly ponders how no caffeine might be a good thing for general quiet in the garage and the world of LV ... then, they slap themselves and say...)
What are we doing? She is not in charge here! We are! We are not taking suggestions from a car! No to Caffeine Free Diet Coke!
Me: Sigh. Can I talk to Neil when he checks in?
Team: (Raised eyebrows all around.)
Me: Whatever. (Note to self: Program N.'s number into my own iPhone which, as previously discussed, is secretly hidden in the glovebox.)
When the dream came
I held my breath
With my eyes closed …
Now I...

MY DREAM, CAPTURED ON MY ONBOARD COMPUTER.
Sitting here in Virginia in this VIPER testing facility, trying to make something happen. And today it is cold and rainy and wet. So I’m still inside. On the treadmill. I have been falling asleep on my tires all afternoon. But. I just had the most awesome dream.

– Neil. In a magazine article years ago. (I have a really good memory, it’s just a memory without anywhere to stay.)
Full moon tonight. Which is great for rock ‘n roll, sure, but cars, not so much. “It can be dangerous working in a full moon atmosphere …” Yikes. Okay....
